Body of Light

IMG_2812.jpg

You came to earth through a Holy God

So that we might know

How true

How rich

How evermore

Your heart

His heart

For us

Does glow

These colors

They are in all things

Even in our enemy

We must remember

This love regenerates and grows

We don't always have to be right

We must remember

This compassion could heal a life

And save a generation

We must remember

He might call it that

She might call it something else

Tone

Cadence

Won't dilute this truth

We must remember

This universal light

Expressed through different tongue and thought

Let's keep looking

Especially in the dark

A glimmer

A flicker

A spark

Or perhaps a charred wick

With hope

We must remember

To listen

To ask

To notice

Our bodies

Hearts

Souls

Mind

It all belongs

We all belong.
